Our modern day cute pets started off life as wolves, around 40,000 years ago. This means for more than 99% of their existence, dogs’ diets looked very different to today!
Modern day dog foods, treats, and human food contain a lot of ingredients that dogs have not been exposed to for the vast majority of their existence. Is it any wonder that their digestive system doesn’t know what to do?
How do I take the test?
We only need a small swab from your dog’s poop. Either take the swab and collection tube on your next walk, or use a poo bag.
Use the prepaid return envelope to send the sample to our laboratory and you will receive your results via email in ~3 weeks.
In the UK it is estimated that 37% of Dogs have parasites. This can be as high as 54% depending on the season, and the age of the Dog. It is estimated that 45% of Cats also suffer from parasites.
Some parasites are harmless, some only cause mild symptoms, but some pose a health threat to the Pet and the humans it is in contact with.
At least once a week Bailey would have diarrhoea, although the Vet said it wasn’t anything serious it was making her unhappy.
The microbiome test showed some imbalances, and after changing her diet Bailey very rarely has toilet troubles!
Leo
We wanted to test Leo to find if he had dangerous parasites, we were happy to find out he got the all clear!
Winter
Winter might not know she is taking Pre & Probiotics in her meals, but her tummy certainly does! Her digestion has been much better.
Luna
Luna has had the Joint Support supplement with her dinner for the last 3 months, we’re going to continue using them to help her joints continue to be healthy.
